Job summary

HDR seeks a WBG Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice within HDR’s Water Business Group. You will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and drive standards, processes, and collaboration across regions.

The role reports to the WBG President and focuses on continuous improvement, risk management, and advancing HDR’s professional services capabilities on large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in related fields.
• Experience in leading professional services, program management, and delivery.
• Maintain AEC industry associations and active engagement with the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of staff in technical, professional, and service delivery competencies.
• Lead QA/QC program activities to ensure quality and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate and drive delivery strategies across groups and regions, enabling project success.
• Support recruiting, staffing, and development of key staff for the Water Business Group.
• Foster collaboration with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance delivery.
• Position HDR as a leader in professional services and delivery excellence.
