Job summary

HDR is hiring a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to lead technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. You will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards that improve client outcomes across the matrix organization.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will partner with leaders to develop future leaders, drive continuous improvement, and position HDR as a global leader in architecture and engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing and developing technical teams and practices.
• Experience leading professional services, program management, and delivery on large-scale programs.
• Active participation in AEC industry associations and respect for HDR employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of staff across technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Drive QA/QC program activities and delivery excellence across the water business group.
• Coordinate staff training on policies, risk management, and technology adoption.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning for project teams.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance delivery strategies.
