Job summary

Augusta Water seeks a dedicated maintenance worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in maintaining sewer and water lines and related facilities in Augusta County, Virginia.

Responsibilities include trenching, pipe laying, service connections, hydrant installation, truck operation, and tool usage. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of heavy manual labor experience are required. CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement and VA license are necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have at least two years of heavy manual labor experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on sewer and water lines including excavation, trenching, laying pipe, and connections.
• Assist with repair of breaks in water or sewer lines and installation of hydrants.
• Operate light and heavy vehicles and use hand tools as required; load/unload materials and clean work sites.
