Job summary

WVWA is seeking a skilled worker to perform repairs, maintenance, and construction of water and sewer facilities. The role involves operating heavy equipment (dump truck, backhoe, excavator, skid steer, loader) and installing water/sewer lines without supervision.

Graduation from high school or GED is required. A Class A CDL with air brake endorsements is necessary, and applicants must pass a hands-on equipment test. Overtime may be expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• 0–1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and endorsements.
• Must pass hands-on equipment test for rubber tired backhoe, loader, mini excavator and skid steer.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump truck, backhoe, mini excavator, skid steer and loader for water/sewer repairs and construction.
• Perform repairs and installation of water and sewer lines and fittings without supervision.
• Train and instruct crew members in operation of equipment and proper techniques.
• Maintain logs, checklists and other required records.
• Work overtime/extended hours as needed and may supervise other employees.
