Job summary

The City of Aubrey is seeking a Maintenance Tech to support water and sewer utilities, road, and park maintenance. The role includes inspecting and repairing distribution pipelines, maintaining equipment, and assisting in street and facility renovations. A focus on safety, outdoor work, and on-call coverage is required.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and experience with safety and operation of equipment. Valid Texas driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety, training, and operation of equipment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assists in installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer utilities including pipes, pumps, and systems.
• Assists in cleaning, inspecting and repairing sewer mains.
• Maintains landscaping in city parks and facilities.
• Paints and maintains equipment, furniture, facilities and playground components.
• Installs signs, plumbing, irrigation components, electrical fixtures, plugs and cabling.
• Assists in installation, maintenance and repair of water utilities including pipes and pumps.
• Performs routine to skilled work inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing distribution pipelines and appurtenances; tests lines; threads pipes.
• Performs valve maintenance and leak detection; operates valves and hydrants.
• Provides backup to other City departments; supports events and meetings.
• Answers emergency calls and completes daily work reports; organizes tools and supplies.
