Job summary

City of Aubrey (TX) seeks a hands-on Water Operations Supervisor to lead the team, supervise daily maintenance, and participate in repairs. Requires thorough knowledge of water distribution and water quality, plus strong leadership and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities include planning work, training personnel, ensuring compliance with TCEQ, and maintaining equipment, safety, and safety protocols while managing expenditures and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of water production and distribution experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with safety, training, and operation of equipment required.
• Class C Groundwater License and a valid Texas class C driver's license are required, with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Encourages and facilitates a harmonious team working environment.
• Plans and supervises the daily operations of the water treatment plant in accordance with guidelines outlined by State and Federal agencies.
• Reads meters, gauges, and dials, records statistical data, and keeps logs of readings.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels of materials and supplies used in water operations and meter work; purchases tools, materials, and supplies as needed.
• Monitors water production and distribution systems for compliance with TCEQ regulations.
• Collects water samples, performs laboratory tests, and records findings.
