Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a maintenance worker to maintain streets, alleys, and storm sewers, and to install and service the water distribution and wastewater system in University Park, Texas. You will prepare work sites and operate heavy equipment.

Daily tasks include breaking out concrete, cleaning sites, keeping records, and responding to after hours emergencies. Qualifications: high school diploma, 6 months of outdoor manual labor, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of outdoor manual labor experience.
  • 6 months of water/sewer mains and streets/alleys installation or repair preferred.
  • Texas Class B-CDL within 6 months of hire date.
  • Valid Texas Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain streets, curbs, alleys and utility cuts.
  • Break out concrete for job preparation.
  • Operate and perform preventive maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Respond to citizen complaints and work requests from supervisor.
  • Prepare work sites and clean up sites when jobs are complete.
  • Ensure trucks and equipment have supplies for the next job.
  • Respond to after hours emergencies.
  • Install and maintain water and sewer mains and appurtenances.
  • Maintain storm sewer inlet boxes.
  • Maintain records of work performed.
  • Fill out daily forms for supervisor with current project information.
