Job summary

City of Delray Beach seeks a Water/Sewer Supervisor to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution, sewer collection and force mains, along with supervision of lift stations and related facilities.

Under the general direction of the Manager of Water/Sewer Network, you will plan, assign and review work, monitor safety, and maintain records and reports while coordinating with other divisions.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, plus courses in pumps, hydraulics, or utility maintenance.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• Five years of experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer systems.
• Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work of personnel in water/sewer network operations.
• Create lift station and building maintenance work orders; monitor progress.
• Monitor telemetry and related functions.
• Order parts and materials; visit job sites for progress and safety compliance.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
