Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead crews responsible for repairing, inspecting, constructing and maintaining the water and sewer network and related facilities. You will monitor work, provide detailed reporting, and ensure safety standards on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of professional experience in the assigned trades, and preferred prior crew-leading experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of professional, verifiable experience in the work described.
• Previous crew leader or supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct staff in installation, repair and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare routine reports and maintain records.
• Relate daily assignments of work and review completed jobs with crews.
• Coordinate work with other crews to meet deadlines and safety practices.
• Supervise crews and ensure quality workmanship.
• Operate tools and equipment as required.
• Open facilities for events and assist with setup.
