Job summary

The City of Delray Beach seeks a Supervisor for the Water/Sewer Network to oversee daily operations, maintenance and surveillance of lift stations, wells and related facilities.

Must have at least 2 years supervisory experience, a valid Florida driver's license, and relevant coursework in pumps, hydraulics or utility system maintenance. Excellent communication and report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and procedures for utility systems.
• Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate work of skilled staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work of personnel in water/sewer network operations.
• Create lift station surveillance and maintenance work orders; monitor progress.
• Possibly monitor telemetry and related functions.
• Order parts and materials as needed.
• Visit job sites to verify progress and safety compliance.
• Maintain records and prepare reports; address complaints.
