Job summary

City of Palm Bay seeks a Utilities Supervisor to oversee water distribution and wastewater collection systems. You will lead crews, schedule tasks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Hands-on leadership includes project oversight, data entry in CMMS, and effective communication with staff and the public. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years’ direct experience in the field, and a Florida Class A CDL with tank endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; coursework in water/wastewater preferred.
• Five years' direct experience in water distribution or wastewater collections.
• Two years' operational decision making experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
• Supervises crews, assigns priorities, schedules work, and procures materials.
• Records data in CMMS and prepares reports for management and budgeting.
• Responds to public inquiries and resolves technical/operational problems.
• Ensures safety policies are followed at all times.
• May be assigned to shift work, weekends or holidays.
