The City of Delray Beach is seeking a Water/Sewer Network Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the water distribution, sewer collection and related facilities. The role includes supervising staff, scheduling lift stations, and ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.
Qualifications include a Level III Florida Water Distribution license, MOT intermediate qualification, and a C-level wastewater certification, along with a valid Florida driver’s license.

The City of Delray Beach is a Non-Tobacco Workplace. This position provides supervision of the installation, maintenance and repair of the water distribution, sewer collection and force mains systems; or, supervision of the building and ground crew for upkeep of lift stations, re-pump stations, raw water wells, and all other buildings and grounds. Work is performed under general direction the Manager of Water/Sewer Network or Manager of Utilities Maintenance.

Knowledge of the principles, practices, techniques and procedures associated with the position. Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials utilized in the position. Ability to plan, organize, control and evaluate the work of skilled and semi-skilled employees. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. Ability to prepare technical reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, and customers. Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment. Ability to manage and prioritize routine, specialized and complex assignments and problems utilizing knowledge acquired through prior education, training, and experience. Ability to adapt to an evolving and continually improving environment. Requires demonstrated ability to utilize personal computer and office software such as MS Word, MS Excel and electronic mail.
