City of Shreveport is seeking a seasoned administrative leader to oversee management and service delivery within the Water and Sewer Department. The role focuses on planning, program implementation, budgeting, and process improvements to support departmental mission and city services.

The position requires strong supervisory skills, ability to coordinate with officials, and experience in handling contracts, purchasing, and timekeeping duties while promoting training and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or related field from an accredited institution.
• Four (4) years of increasing responsible management and/or administrative experience or equivalent.
• Valid Class 1 Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Certificates preferred but not required.
• Valid Class 1 Water Production, Water Treatment and Water Distribution Certificates preferred but not required.
• Valid Class 1 Wastewater Treatment and Wastewater Collection Certificates preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly responsible management work in the service delivery of a specific function or operation of the department.
• Plans, process, and implements approved departmental programs.
• Researches, develops, and submits recommendations to improve services and other aspects of department's mission.
• Implements approved work, training, and safety programs.
• Uses PC or terminal keyboard to type or generate memos, letters, reports, or other established formats; inputs data and files documents.
