Job summary

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge in Utilities practices, procedures, planning and administration.
• Familiarity with GIS mapping programs.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, methods and practices related to drainage, water and wastewater facilities.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and plans.
• Ability to initiate and follow through with the bid process.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of Water and Wastewater departments.
• Perform construction management and project organization of large-scale projects.
• Oversee department budgets and purchasing in line with City policy.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other City departments.
• Assist in grant writing and obtaining funding.
• Prepare professional reports and correspondence.
• Respond to citizen issues in a cordial and professional manner.
