Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Services team. You will gain hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while learning from experienced professionals on a diverse portfolio of municipal, federal, and industrial projects.

You will assist in researching engineering solutions, supporting analyses, and developing technical documents using ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and related software.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
• Assist with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Develop maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, exposure to the full project lifecycle.
• Ideal candidate is available to start May 17th, May 31st or June 14th 2027.
