Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Services team. This internship offers hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while learning from experienced professionals on municipal, federal, and industrial projects.

You will research engineering solutions, support project analyses and reporting, and develop technical documents using ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a relevant engineering bachelor program.
• Pursuing Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering degree.
• Strong interest in water/wastewater/environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
• Assisting with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Developing maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials.
• Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.
• Ideal Candidate is available to start May 17th, May 31st or June 14th 2027

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
