Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Services team. You will gain hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while learning from experienced engineers on municipal, federal, and industrial projects.

You will research engineering solutions and assist in developing technical documents and presentations using ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel and related software. Ideal start windows include May/June 2027, with 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
• Assisting with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Developing maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials.
• Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.
