Job summary

HDR invites a seasoned Professional Services Director to join our Water Business Group. You will provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the matrix organization, aligning practice groups and advancing standards that improve client outcomes.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will mentor teams, shape delivery approaches, and collaborate with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to sustain HDR as a world leader

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing technical teams and practices.
• Proven ability to lead professional services, program delivery, and diverse teams.
• Maintain AEC industry associations.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor staff development across technical, professional, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to emerging technologies and digital delivery methods.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of professional services technologies and enabling systems.
• Coordinate staff training on company policies, risk management, and QA/QC.
• Drive continuous improvement through technical standards and best practices.
