Job Title: Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Department: Aquatics
Location: South Troy Pool
Reports to: Pool Coordinator
Salary: $20 an hour
Classification: Part-time, Seasonal (June-September 1)
Hours & Schedule: 9:30am-12:30pm, Monday to Friday, two-week sessions for six weeks total (10-12 hours per week)

Overview Of Your Role
The primary function of the Water Safety Instructor will be to deliver American Red Cross Learn to Swim courses to the community, ranging from ages 6 months to adults, teaching lifesaving water safety knowledge and skills, and maintaining accurate records. This is a seasonal position available during the summer months.

Outdoor swimming pool facility with exposure to various weather conditions including heat, sun, and occasional light rain.

Physical Requirements: This position requires extended periods of standing, walking, and demonstrating swimming techniques in an outdoor aquatic setting. The ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, sun, light rain) is necessary.
