Job description

Outdoor Aquatic Center Season begins early-May to early-September.
Indoor Pool is open all year long.

Qualifications:

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily duties of the aquatic center including safety, emergency response, customer service, facility upkeep, and special events.

Supervision:

The Lifeguards report to the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Managers.

Qualifications:

• Responsible, courteous, good communication skills, strong work ethic
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Maintain a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification & be test-ready at all times

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Surveillance of guests and water safety
• Assist with swim lessons and special events
• Facility upkeep including cleaning, trash removal, and rule enforcement
• Communicate professionally with staff and patrons
• Enforce policies and regulations
• Comply with city and county regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation:

Work hours depend on pool operation hours. Minimum 8 hours/week year-round, 15 hours/week in summer. Starting salary: $16/hr.
