Job summary

CDM Smith is pursuing a strategic Water Reuse Discipline Leader to guide planning, design, and delivery of water reclamation and reuse projects in the Southeast U.S. You will work with the Water Reuse COP to grow technical leadership, participate in R&D and professional societies, and help expand the firm’s technical presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and coordinates with other subject matter experts on the delivery of water reclamation and water reuse projects.
• Performs and coordinates with designated team members for quality checking of documents for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborates with the Water Reuse Practice Leader and sales staff to support proposals in response to requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Attends and presents at conferences, symposia, etc. to contribute to the technical luminescence and visibility of the firm's products and services.
• Provides technical guidance and training to senior, mid-level and junior staff working on water reclamation and reuse projects. Mentors staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
• Alternative delivery experience such as progressive design build is a plus.
