Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a strategic Discipline Leader for Water Reuse in the Water Reuse COP. This role guides planning, design and delivery of water reclamation projects in the Southeast, shaping pursuit and delivery, and collaborating with the Water Reuse strategy team to raise the firm's technical profile.

The DL will mentor staff, contribute to R&D, engage with clients and conferences, and work with Practice Leaders to deliver innovative solutions across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional engineer (PE) license.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties.
• Equivalent additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and coordinates with other subject matter experts on water reclamation and reuse project delivery.
• Performs and coordinates with team for quality checking of documents for compliance with regulations.
• Collaborates with Water Reuse Practice Leader and sales staff to support proposals; reviews draft proposals for adherence.
• Attends and presents at conferences to contribute to technical luminescence and visibility of firm.
• Provides technical guidance and training to staff; mentors for growth; supervises engineers on projects.
• Alternative delivery experience such as progressive design-build is a plus.
