Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is seeking a Water Technician to monitor and complete water restoration tasks, from drying and demolition to final documentation for insurance reimbursement. You will explain processes to customers in person, review photos and notes, and ensure proper next steps are taken to resolve each active job.

The role requires high school completion, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills essential
• Experience in restoration or construction industry preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and organize work orders; ensure equipment and supplies are loaded for the job
• Explain restoration processes and next steps to customers using printed materials
• Complete assigned jobs following company processes with quality control
• Perform water damage repair including extraction, pack-out, and light demolition as directed
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and report malfunctions
• Inspect completed jobs; obtain customer signatures and coordinate payments when applicable
• Monitor ongoing water restoration activities on residential or commercial sites
• Adjust drying plans based on meter readings as needed
• Resolve customer issues and communicate progress to supervisor
• Prepare documentation and photos to support insurance reimbursement
