Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs and builds water resources solutions in a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

The Structural Project Engineer will handle design, analysis, and documentation for dams, hydropower, fisheries, and related facilities, with 5–10 years of experience. The role includes creating design documents, performing FEA with ABAQUS/ANSYS, and supporting construction activities on site; travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• PE licensure is a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure and FEA modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation reports and technical memos.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural computations and analyses using hand calculations and software.
• Develop drawings by hand or CAD.
• Perform construction services including submittal reviews and on-site inspections.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Mentor other engineering staff.
• Collect field data and analyze existing conditions.
