Job summary

HWC Engineering seeks a qualified Project Manager with water resources expertise to lead and oversee municipal water, wastewater and stormwater projects in Indiana. You will interact with clients, manage design teams, and guide projects through planning, design, and construction phases while ensuring budget and schedule adherence.

The role requires a PE in Indiana (or reciprocity) and a strong ability to communicate, analyze data, and work effectively in a deadline-driven, collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 6+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with emphasis on stormwater.
• Professional Engineer license in Indiana or eligible via reciprocity.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to think critically, manage time and problem solve.
• Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• High ethical standards and commitment to development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on water resource projects.
• Explain scope and requirements to clients.
• Provide direction through project life cycle.
• Explain budget impact of changes to clients.
• Develop and supervise municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Conduct planning studies and guide design and construction phases.
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports for funding agencies.
• Prepare bidding documents for municipal projects.
• Define scope, plan, lead, and supervise engineering work.
• Provide municipal engineering expertise across the firm.
