Job summary

Designworks Talent is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee utility infrastructure projects from planning through delivery in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role balances technical oversight, client coordination, and project execution with mentorship under senior leadership.

The candidate will manage drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, develop scopes and budgets, coordinate with clients and agencies, supervise staff, and ensure QA/QC across tasks.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE with proven project leadership.
• 7+ years of experience in utility infrastructure engineering.
• Proficient in project management and client communication.
• Experience delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
• Knowledge of utility design standards, regulations, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility infrastructure projects including drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
• Supervise project staff and mentor engineers/technicians under senior guidance.
• Perform QA/QC reviews, address design issues, and assist with construction-related problems.
• Track labor utilization, revenue forecasting, billing, and documentation.
• Conduct occasional site visits and construction observations.
