Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston seeks a Water Resources Project Engineer with strong InfoWorks modelling experience. You will contribute to a range of urban drainage and flood mitigation projects, applying technical analysis to design and planning decisions.

Ideal candidates have 4–8+ years in water resources, hands-on InfoWorks ICM expertise, and a PE license. Familiarity with Houston design criteria is a plus for this technical team.

Job description

A national civil engineering firm is looking to grow its Houston team with the addition of a Water Resources Project Engineer who brings strong experience with InfoWorks modelling. The team is known for its technical strength and is involved in a range of complex urban drainage and flood mitigation projects across the region.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys detailed modelling work but also wants to be part of the broader project delivery process. You will be involved in both the technical analysis and the application of that work into real world design and planning decisions.

What you will be doing

  • Building, calibrating, and running one dimensional and two dimensional InfoWorks ICM models
  • Supporting flood studies, drainage analysis, and master planning efforts
  • Interpreting results and contributing to design recommendations
  • Assisting with reports and overall project coordination
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
