This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of technical projects while working alongside experienced project and technical leaders. The position is based in a regional office environment, supporting both local and broader regional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, engineering calculations, and data analysis across a range of water resources projects
- Support design and evaluation efforts for systems such as drainage networks, stormwater infrastructure, dams, flood control systems, and watershed plans
- Contribute to technical studies involving floodplain mapping, climate adaptation, water quality, and integrated resource planning
- Deliver technical reports, design documentation, and modeling outputs to support project objectives
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to junior engineers and analysts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on planning, permitting, and infrastructure design projects
- Assist in preparing proposals, scopes, and technical approaches in response to client opportunities
- Engage with clients through meetings, presentations, and ongoing project communication
- Support thought leadership initiatives through technical knowledge sharing, tool development, and internal best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Coastal, or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in water resources, hydrology/hydraulics, or related infrastructure projects
- Strong technical background in areas such as stormwater management, flood modeling, watershed analysis, or water systems planning
- Experience with industry-standard modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or equivalent) preferred
- Proven ability to manage technical deliverables and guide junior staff
- Exposure to client interaction and proposal support is advantageous
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
