Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver complex water resources projects across proposal, planning, and construction stages.

You'll supervise design, modeling, and field coordination, manage client relations, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide CAD teams while maintaining budgets and schedules. A PE license is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills required.
• Experience with stormwater routing modeling and CAD tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a variety of water resources engineering projects at proposal, planning and execution stages.
• Lead conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings for water control structures and flood mitigation projects.
• Understand stormwater analysis and design; prepare stormwater management plans with modeling analyses.
• Provide technical review and sealing of engineering design drawings where applicable.
• Hands-on experience with stormwater modeling using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and StormWise/ICPR4.
• Oversee pre-, during-, and post-construction implementation and coordinate field work.
• Provide peer reviews of reports and designs and liaise with clients and agencies to obtain approvals.
• Manage project scheduling and financial aspects; supervise CAD designers and permit technicians.
