Job summary

DOWL is seeking a Water Resources Intern to provide engineering assistance across a variety of projects. The role includes field work, GIS-based watershed analysis, and hydrologic modeling using HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS, with mentorship to help you grow into a successful Water Resources Engineer.

Successful candidates will have 1–2 years of college coursework toward a civil engineering degree, with desirable ARC GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge, and a willingness to learn in a team

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (1–2 years of college coursework).
• ARC GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations, analysis, cost estimating, technical report writing, final design, and construction inspection.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8.
• Support other engineering discipline groups and perform field work.
