Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Management Intern to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, data collection, and GIS data processing on real-world projects.

You will study under a senior Engineer, gain exposure to flood control, watershed analysis, and restoration efforts for federal, state, and local clients, while developing practical engineering skills in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to assist hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and data processing using GIS.
• Work under guidance of a senior Engineer to learn design and modeling for water resource projects.
• Exposure to projects involving flood control, watershed analysis, restoration and dam/levee work.
• Engage with mentoring programs and connect with graduates and company leaders.
• Perform duties including site visits, design calculations, GIS data production and technical reports.
