Job summary

DOWL is seeking a Water Resources Intern to assist in a range of projects focusing on hydrology, hydraulics, and water management. You will use GIS tools to determine watershed characteristics and support analyses for flood risk and drainage planning, while gaining mentorship from experienced engineers.

The internship offers hands-on experience with HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS, field work, and coordination across engineering disciplines. A strong interest in water resources is essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on water resources.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to drive as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations and analysis of alternative solutions.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8).
• Support other engineering discipline groups and perform construction administration support.
