Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer Intern for our Water Resources team in Orlando, FL. You will contribute to drainage and stormwater analysis and water resources design under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.

The role involves assisting with plans, specifications, cost estimates, and regulatory documents while performing CAD drafting and design calculations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree.
• Great communication skills.
• Solid relationship and team building skills.
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Help design drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
