Job summary

Halff in Tampa, FL is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will work under a Team Leader on design projects for FDOT, FEMA, water districts, and local municipalities, contributing to flood risk planning and stormwater infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client communication, and delivering high-quality, compliant solutions. A degree in civil or environmental engineering is required, with experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and GIS

Qualifications

Experience in water resources/public works (preferably 3 years).
ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
ICP R4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work under a Water Resources Team Leader in the development of Water Resources design projects for FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.
Perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.
Collaborate with design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects contributing to Florida communities’ growth and safety.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
