Job summary

Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Tampa, FL for June 2027. You will support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources projects, collaborate with clients, and help develop flood risk education and planning.

Ideal candidates have a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree (ABET-accredited), FE eligibility within six months, and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years in water resources/public works; experience in channels design, storm drain analysis, watershed modeling, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• FE exam passed or plan to obtain within six months of start date.
• Proficiency with Autodesk, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and ArcGIS Pro.
• Familiar with XP-SWMM and InfoWorks ICM.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in the design and analysis of water resources projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Assist in developing master drainage plans.
• Prepare and review engineering documents and reports.
• Prepare and review plans, specifications and bid documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
