Job summary

Halff is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for our Water Resources team in Orlando, FL. The intern will assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design, support water resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks.

You will design projects under supervision, prepare plans and cost estimates, perform calculations, assist with permit applications, and coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
• ABET-accredited or equivalent degree preferred.
• Experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS preferred but not required.
• Solid relationship and team-building skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Help design drainage and stormwater analysis and design
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
