Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Water Resources intern for our Virginia Beach, VA office to support with design tasks, document preparation, and project coordination. You will gain practical experience, participate in team design phases, and help create presentations for project deliverables.

The role includes site involvement, RFI support, record drawing updates, and collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation and email.
• Ability to produce organized, clear written materials.
• Attention to detail and creativity in supporting tasks.
• Developing presentation skills for cross‑team communication.
• Ability to manage time and workloads with supervision.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers with basic design tasks.
• Prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, modeling, and development.
• Support creation of presentations and marketing materials.
• Assist with site visits, RFI responses, and updating record drawings.
• Follow QC procedures and learn company standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and supervise guidance.
