Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking an engineering intern to support the design department on water and wastewater projects. You will assist senior staff with research, drawings, and documentation to gain practical experience while supporting educational development.

This paid internship offers exposure to site observations, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and opportunities to learn company standards in a dynamic ESOP-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an ABET-accredited undergraduate degree in civil engineering with an interest in water and wastewater projects.
• Familiarity with design and production software is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior or lead team members with basic design tasks, including research, simple studies, and layout support.
• Help prepare drawings and documents for schematic design, modeling, and construction phases.
• Support creation of presentation and marketing materials for projects.
• Participate in site visits and support RFI responses and review of shop drawings.
• Follow quality control procedures and learn company standards.
