Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in Plymouth, MI seeks motivated individuals to perform a broad range of water resources engineering technician duties, supporting engineers, scientists, and staff from conception to construction.

Responsibilities include field data collection, drafting with AutoCAD/ArcGIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and HY-8, with occasional travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Coursework in hydrology, hydraulics, and soils.

Responsibilities

• Perform field data collection and construction observation/documentation for restoration and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with drafting plans and drawings utilizing AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
• Analyze geospatial datasets and survey data for hydrologic/hydraulic models (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, HY-8).
• Travel to project sites occasionally; work will be directed by project managers.
