Job summary

RE/SPEC Inc. seeks a temporary part-time water resources engineering intern for its Denver, CO office during the summer of 2027.

You will contribute to planning, designing, and constructing water resources projects including stormwater, water, and wastewater efforts, working closely with environmental staff. Responsibilities include hydrologic analyses, CAD drafting, GIS analysis, report preparation, and field oversight.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or water resource engineering; junior/senior or recent graduate encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge or coursework in AutoCAD or GIS is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and capability for field work.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills, especially with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, calculations, and design.
• Prepare reports, figures, and technical documents.
• Use AutoCAD for drafting and design tasks.
• Conduct GIS analysis and related mapping work.
• Engage in field work and construction oversight as needed.
