Job summary

RESPEC, seeks a civil engineering intern in our Colorado Springs, Colorado location for the summer of 2026. The intern will assist with planning, design, and construction tasks for water and wastewater projects for public agencies, with cross-disciplinary collaboration with environmental science staff.

This full-time summer internship offers hands-on learning, teamwork, and the application of math and problem-solving skills using AutoCAD or GIS tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering with interest in water and wastewater
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Knowledge/experience in AutoCAD (or similar software) and/or GIS
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
