Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering while supporting project teams on water resources analyses, design development, and technical tasks. You'll collect data, run models, prepare drawings and reports, and engage with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• No professional experience required; suitable for Associate or Bachelor’s degree students.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with water resources analyses, design development, and technical tasks.
• Support data collection, modeling, calculations, and engineering evaluations for water resources projects.
• Communicate design concepts and technical recommendations via drawings, exhibits, reports, and construction documents.
• Contribute to preparation and organization of project deliverables, including data, plan sets, specs and documentation.
