Job summary
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Water Resource Management, seeks a Professional Engineer I in Tallahassee to support the Mining and Mitigation Program and safeguard Florida's water resources through technical review of mining, reclamation, and ERP projects.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of environmental, civil, hydraulic, water resource engineering and related analyses.
- Ability to review permits, technical studies, and environmental modeling for regulatory compliance.
- Ability to interpret Florida Statutes and rules related to mining, mitigation, and ERP.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed technical reviews of hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrogeologic, geotechnical, and stormwater analyses for mining and ERP projects.
- Provide regulatory support and technical assistance to staff, permit applicants, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Perform field inspections and site evaluations to support compliance and project review.
