Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resource Engineer with a strong background in civil and environmental engineering to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for river restoration projects in the New England region.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and readiness to work across multiple disciplines within a collaborative Environment Services program. Flexible New England location preferred, Northampton, MA highlighted.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in water resource engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer; ability to obtain licenses in MA and other New England states within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientific disciplines within Environment Services program.
• Conduct desktop and field studies for water resource projects: dam removal, culvert replacement, bridge hydraulics, flood risk assessment, coastal resilience, stream restoration.
• Prepare documentation and engineering design materials; perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
