Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resource Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team focused on hydraulics, river mechanics, and aquatic habitat restoration. The role requires a BS or MS in civil or environmental engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license with the ability to obtain additional licenses in Massachusetts and other New England states within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in civil or environmental engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license required with ability to obtain licenses in MA and other New England States within three months.
• Strong writing and communication skills; knowledge of civil engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientific disciplines within Stantec’s Environment Services program.
• Conduct desktop and field studies for water resource projects, including dam removal and culvert replacement.
• Support bridge hydraulics, flood risk assessment, and coastal resilience
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and prepare engineering documentation.
