Job summary

Stantec seeks a Water Resource Engineer to join our Environment Services team in the New England region, preferably Northampton, MA. You will lead desktop and field studies, develop hydrologic/hydraulic models, and contribute to restoration and resilience projects for aquatic habitats.

This role requires a BS/MS in civil or environmental engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license with ability to obtain licenses in MA and nearby states.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in civil or environmental engineering.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Familiar with civil engineering software.
• Ten to twenty years of experience with hydraulics and river mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Desktop and field studies supporting water resource projects.
• Dam removal and culvert replacement assessments.
• Bridge hydraulics and scour analysis.
• Flood risk assessment and coastal resilience planning.
• Stream restoration and enhancement documentation.
• Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling work.
