Job summary

Genuine Search Group seeks a Water Resources Engineer to contribute to storm drainage, flood control, hydrology, and hydraulics across diverse land development and public infrastructure projects in California.

With 3–7 years of CA experience, you will design stormwater systems, perform hydrologic modeling, and collaborate with senior engineers on multi-project delivery, staying compliant with permitting and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• California PE license required.
• 3–7 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, storm drainage, and flood control in CA.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Design storm drain systems and open/closed hydraulic systems.
• Prepare stormwater management plans and drainage studies.
• Perform rainfall runoff analyses and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling.
• Support drainage and flood control design for public and private projects.
• Prepare calculations, reports, exhibits, and supporting docs.
• Coordinate with teams, clients, and agencies throughout projects.
• Assist with project management and design for land development and infrastructure.
• Support permitting efforts and regulatory coordination.
