Job summary

Quality Engineering and Surveying, LLC is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to lead planning, design, analysis and permitting of water resources and stormwater projects from concept through construction. The role concentrates on hydrology, hydraulics, drainage design, floodplain management, and water quality solutions.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients and regulators, you will ensure regulatory compliance, sustainability and technical excellence in every project while

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field with emphasis in water resources.
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.
  • 3-5 years of experience in water resources engineering, with project experience in site development, infrastructure, or municipal work.
  • Experience in hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design, floodplain analysis, or municipal water resources projects.
  • Familiarity with FEMA floodplain requirements and permitting processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and water resources modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, HydroCAD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and water-related regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention-to-detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities (written and verbal).

  • Plan, design, analyze, and permit water resources and stormwater projects from concept through construction.
  • Focus on hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, floodplain management, and water quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and technical excellence in work products.
  • Travel to sites or meetings as needed and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
