Job summary

HWC Engineering in Indiana is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our Water Resources team at the Indianapolis office. You will design power distribution, motor control, lighting, and instrumentation for water and wastewater facilities, and develop drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3–5+ years of experience, with strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA and coordination with controls and automation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including lighting and power distribution.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, motor control, lighting, and instrumentation systems.
• Develop electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specs.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing for electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical infrastructure with SCADA and automation needs.
• Prepare bidding documents and construction specs for municipal projects.
• Review drawings for accuracy and code compliance (NEC, NFPA).
