Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Resources Design EIT/Coordinator in Denver to apply hydraulics and hydrology modeling for municipal projects. You will work under project engineers to develop design calculations, reports, and permitting support, focusing on flood control, river design, and restoration tasks.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree (EIT preferred) and familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Office tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Work under project engineers on design engineering and modeling for water resource projects.
Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater systems, data collection and presentations.
Develop projects including flood control, river design, and restoration initiatives.
Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies.
Two-dimensional hydraulic analysis and model development.
Prepare engineering design calculations and environmental permitting support.
Field and desktop data collection; development of visual aids for client presentations.
